New Cowboy Shooter Orientation!

ITSASS is going to present its first ever New Cowboy Shooter Orientation! It will be held in the club house at the range on Saturday Feb 27, 2010 @ 9:00 - 12:30. The course is designed for new Cowboy shooters (anyone who has joined in the last year), shooters that haven't shot at Red Castle before and for people just thinking about shooting. Weather permitting we will have live shooting demonstrations & practice after the course. Attendees should bring a sack lunch. ITSASS will provide coffee & cookies during a break. There is no cost for the course but donations are welcome. All ITSASS members are encouraged to attend, help answer questions and help new shooters.

If you plan to attend to call Burly Bill at 918-830-2936 and let him know, he will also provide you with the gate code.

Greetings fellow Cowboy Shooters!

Well, once again, if you stayed home you missed a great day! There was barely more than a heavy mist and we were able to stay warm and dry by shooting in the town square and with the help of Burly Bills portable stove! We had 3 new shooters today - welcome to Badly Bent, W.B. Crockpot & L.C. Hawks! You should have seen their faces when we read the scenario that called for 6 Rifle & 6 Pistol with alternating Shotgun - as they say, it was priceless! We had several observers, some came over from the long range and 3 more were brought over by Marshall Pace. One was Billy Tombstone and I understand that he is "itchin" to get started. Another interested shooter is 12 year old Ian Noland. His parents brought him out to watch and he got to shoot a stage after the match. His parents were so proud when he cleaned it and he had a great big grin on his face, too! We even got them to shoot so I think the whole family is hooked!

Reminder - New Shooter Orientation is next Saturday 2/27 @ 9:00.
